Also the walls transmitted noises from the other rooms very well. Even with closed windows noises from the steet (laughter, conversation) could be heard very well during night time.

You are right there, really close to everything. Somewhat noisy, just above or near a pub. Had to open the window because it was hot and no air conditioning.
